Activity:
One activity is to use model gardens in hospitals to provide some of the vegetables and root crops for patients. This helps to address malnutrition and promotes healthy eating habits. The mothers take some of the crop samples home with them to continue the lesson. A workshop has been held for secondary teachers on the benefits of organic farming. This year 14 model food gardens were set up, measuring about 20m by 20m. They are a tool for training and awareness, with farmers able to expand them on their own
