Organic agriculture combines tradition, innovation and science to benefit the shared environment and promote fair relationships and a good quality of life for all involved. Organic farming is a system that is dependant on skilled management that use natural processes and materials when developing farming systems; contributing to soil, crop nutrition, pest and weed management, attainment of production goals, and conservation of biological diversity.

Organic management requires a high standard of management and the use of many techniques that are not usually used in conventional farming. The following organic practices are techniques have been successfully applied and now shared by our Pacific farmers through a combination of traditional knowledge, innovation and science. It is important to note that there is no one size fits all solution to proper management of organic farms; but rather a combination of practices that works best for each farm conditions.
